Becoming a parent is never easy. It’s particularly challenging when you are still in high school. Without a community of support, young women are at a greater risk of anxiety, depression, and even suicide.

Jessie’s changes the game for pregnant and parenting young women ages 13-21. With the support of their counsellor, young women prepare a plan for a healthy pregnancy, and a stable, caring home for their little one. Then, we rally behind them as they follow their plan, with an on-site high school, free childcare, food and housing support, an on site health clinic, and comprehensive parenting education resources. Jessie’s has supported more than13,000 young women to become competent, caring parents and active members of their community.

Your gift supports the scholarship endowment so that graduates from our on-site high school begin their post-secondary education with a boost. We seek to provide a minimum of $1,000 to each graduate or participant entering post-secondary, every year: it is awarded regardless of field of study or academic performance. There are between 4 and 10 scholarships awarded annually.
