By donating gently used everyday and maternity bras, new underwear, or funds to purchase them, you ensure that pregnant and parenting young women at Jessie’s: The June Callwood Centre for Young Women have access to basic necessities that many might take for granted. This is about more than just underwear; it's about providing young mothers with the tools to feel supported, both physically and emotionally, as they navigate their new lives and identities as parents. Buy a bra, give a brave beginning
Send us shopping! A new bra can cost between $35 and $50 and most people need at least three - one on you, one in the wash, and one to wear tomorrow. Donating cash to buy a bra or new underwear means new moms can pick out something that supports them the way they want to be supported.
Collect bras, underwear and personal care items for Jessie’s!
Text the group chat. Post to your neighbourhood group. Or hold a collection at your workplace, or even with your customers. You decide how you collect bras for brave beginnings (and undies and care kits too!).
For the safety and security of our participants and their young children, we do not accept walk-in donations. Donation appointments are held on the first and third Thursday of each month. We accept a maximum of 2 large boxes/bags or 3 small boxes/bags per appointment. If you would like to donate, please request an appointment using the request form
