About Jessie’s
Becoming a parent is never easy. It’s particularly challenging when you are still in high school. Without a community of support, young women are at a greater risk of anxiety, depression, and even suicide.
Jessie’s Centre is Toronto’s only feminist and pro-choice parenting centre for pregnant and parenting youth ages 13-24. At Jessie’s, young parents can get healthcare, finish high school on site, access free childcare, shop the Swap Shop for clothes and toys and gear, and participate in programs and groups to support their wellbeing and nurture their potential - all free, all on their terms, and all under one roof.
