Jessie's Centre for Teenagers encourages participation by community members in our centre in a variety of ways. We have a dedicated core of volunteers who generously share their time and talents offering child care, labour support, cooking, reception, accompanying teens on various appointments and helping with administration or organizing our swap shop.
Donations are an important way that interested community members can support Jessie's Centre. Jessie's is a registered charity and provides a tax-creditable charitable receipt for any cash donation. We also welcome donations of baby clothes and equipment and a variety of other items for our Swap Shop. We also gather new toys all year to prepare 300 presents for infants and toddlers for our annual holiday party in December.
Community members who wish to be aware of, or involved in, the governing and strategic direction of the agency can become a supporting member of the centre. A community board of 15 volunteers governs Jessie's Centre. Our Board Recruitment Committee invites interested community members to apply to become a member of our Board of Directors.
